*Part-time employees earn pro-rated time based on hours worked for 12 holidays each year
(excluding the observed ½ days for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve) if they meet the minimum
requirement of 15 hours/week averaged over a 6 month period.
VACATION/SICK LEAVE
Hourly full-time employees earn 12 vacation days and 12 sick days per year.
Salaried full-time employees earn 20 vacation days and 12 sick days per year.
Part-time employees earn pro-rated time based on hours worked if they meet the minimum
requirement of 15-hours/week.
FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PLAN
Health insurance
A choice between HMO and Point of Service (POS) plans through Aetna U.S.
Health Care.
Full-time employees who elect coverage receive Employer Benefit
Dollars to pay for
employee health insurance coverage under either plan.
Part-time employees who elect coverage receive pro-rated Employer
Benefit Dollars (if
they meet the minimum requirement of 15-hours/week
averaged over a 6-month period) to
pay for employee health insurance coverage
under either plan.
Part-time employees who elect to purchase health insurance pay the
balance of the premium cost through pre-tax payroll deductions.
Full-time and part-time employees may purchase health insurance to cover their
dependents (spouse and/or children) through pre-tax payroll deductions.
Full-time employees may opt for dental insurance coverage through Northeast Delta Dental
at a shared expense.
Medical and Dental coverage is available for Domestic Partners at the employees’ cost.
Full-time employees receive group life insurance coverage equal to their annual gross salary
furnished by U.S. Life/American General, and may purchase supplemental life insurance.
Full-time employees receive long-term disability income protection through
Aetna US Healthcare in the event they become permanently disabled.
Full-time employees are eligible to participate in Medical and Dependent Care
Reimbursement Accounts.
RETIREMENT PLANS
Discretionary Contribution Plan
Employees who are at least 21 years of age and work a minimum of 800-hours in a Plan
Year (January 1 - December 31) are eligible to enroll in the CHCS Retirement Plan on the
January 1st or July 1st following their first year employment anniversary date.
Contributions are made by the agency at no cost to employees.
A year of service is credited for each year of employment with at least 800-hours worked.
The "vesting" schedule for this plan is as follows:
5 or more years of service = 100%
4 years of service = 66.66%
3 years of service = 33.33%
less than 3 years of service = 0%
Tax Deferred Annuities or Tax Sheltered Annuities (403(b) Plan)
All employees have the option of enrolling.
Employees choose from a menu of companies.
Employees voluntarily choose the amount for their contributions.
There is no waiting period for enrollment.
Contributions occur through pre-tax payroll deductions.
Reimbursement of Interview Expenses
Applicants for upper level clinical or management positions may be eligible for
reimbursement of 50% of interview expenses (reasonable travel and accommodations)
upon submission of receipts after the interview.
If hired, individuals may submit requests for reimbursement of the other 50% of expenses
after they start work.
