HOLIDAYS FOR FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES


Full-time
employees receive 7 Traditional and 3 Floating Holidays annually.

Part-time employees are eligible to earn time (pro-rated based on hours worked) for 7 Traditional
and 3 Floating holidays annually.

    VACATION/SICK LEAVE

    Hourly full-time employees earn 12 vacation days and 10 sick days per year.
    Professional full-time employees earn 20 vacation days and 10 sick days per year.
    Part-time employees earn pro-rated time based on hours worked if they meet the minimum
    requirement of 15-hours/week.



    FLEXIBLE BENEFIT PLAN
    • Health insurance
    • A choice between Open Access Plus In Network and Open Access Plus In and Out of Network plans through CIGNA Healthcare.
       

    • Full-time employees who elect coverage receive Employer Benefit Dollars to pay for 100% employee health insurance coverage under either plan.
       

    • Part-time employees who elect coverage receive pro-rated Employer Benefit Dollars (minimum requirement of 15-hours/week) to pay for employee health insurance coverage under either plan.  The balance of the premium cost is paid through pre-tax payroll deductions
       

    • Full-time and part-time employees may purchase health insurance to cover their dependents (spouse and/or children) at a shared expense through pre-tax payroll deductions.

    • Dental Insurance is available to full-time and part-time employees (working 20+ hours per
       week) through CIGNA Dental at a shared expense.
       

    •  Medical and Dental coverage is available for Domestic Partners.
       

    •  Group Life Insurance coverage is provided to full-time employees in an amount equal to
       their annual gross salary through Aetna Life Insurance. 

       

    •  Supplemental Life Insurance is available to full-time and part-time employees (working
       20+ hours per week) a
      s an optional benefit.
       

    •  Long Term Disability insurance is provided to full-time employees through Aetna Life
       Insurance.
       

    • Medical and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts are available to full-time
       and part-time (working 20+ hours per week).

    RETIREMENT PLANS

    • Discretionary Contribution Plan
      • Employees who are at least 21 years of age and work a minimum of 800-hours in a Plan
        Year (January 1 - December 31) are eligible to enroll in the CHCS Retirement Plan on the
        January 1st or July 1st following their first year employment anniversary date.
      • Contributions are made by the agency at no cost to employees.
      • A year of service is credited for each year of employment with at least 800-hours worked.
      • The "vesting" schedule for this plan is as follows:
        • 5 or more years of service = 100%
        • 4 years of service = 60%
        • 3 years of service = 30%
        • 2 years of service = 20%
        • less than 2 years of service = 0%
           

    • 403(b) Plan: Tax Deferred Annuities or Tax Sheltered Annuities

      • All employees have the option of enrolling in a 403(b) through Fidelity Investments.
      • Employees voluntarily choose the amount for their contributions.
      • There is no waiting period for enrollment.
      • Contributions occur through pre-tax payroll deductions.

      • If hired, individuals may submit requests for reimbursement of the other 50% of expenses after they start work.
