As a non-profit corporation, Community Health and Counseling Services (CHCS) is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Members of the Board come from the agency's service area and from all walks of life including the professional and business community, persons knowledgeable about health care needs in the community, and persons experienced in helping community organizations like CHCS address those health care needs.
With a clear focus of the agency's Mission, the Board fulfills its responsibility by setting the basic agency policies, advocating for the interests of agency clients with legislative bodies and funding sources, and assuring that services provided to the clients are effective in meeting both individual and community health care needs. Many of the CHCS Board members have been active participants for several decades. The longevity of it's Board shows the continued commitment of CHCS to provide quality services to the people who need them most.
