Many parents have one or more forms of insurance that will help pay for home health care. Most health insurance plans, including Blue Cross, now provide home health care benefits. Medicare and Medicaid also pay for health care in the patient's home.

If the patient has no health insurance, fees will be based on the patient's ability to pay. No patient is denied service solely because of the inability to pay. Many towns and cities provide financial support as a community service. The United Way may also assist with funding.

Community Health and Counseling Services is a private, non-profit agency based in Bangor with regional offices in Washington, Hancock, Piscataquis, and Penobscot Counties. It serves all parts of the four communities.

How can I show my appreciation for these services?

Memorial Gifts and other individual donations to support these services are deeply appreciated.
