Crisis Workers provide both telephone and face-to-face contacts 24/7. We meet with you anywhere in the community including homes, work sites, provider residential sites/offices, hospitals, school, shelters and law enforcement facilities. Crisis plans are developed with you and with the intent to stabilize you at the least restrictive but appropriate level possible. Referrals are made to a wide variety of community providers. We can arrange for follow up with you by the Crisis Workers.
Crisis Stabilization Bed Crisis workers can make referrals to both adult and child crisis beds. Children are referred to the Sojourn House, a six-bed home in Bangor. Adults are referred to Riverstone Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), an eight-bed facility in Brewer. Both units are operated and staffed by the Crisis Service. In the event that these units are full, we will work with you to find other crisis units within the State of Maine.
