Professional Development

CHCS Provides Training in Mental Health to the Public, CHCS Staff, and Other Professionals

Welcome to the Professional Development page for Adult, Child and Family Services at CHCS  We value the ongoing training and education of our employees and contracted providers, and we are committed to offer professional development opportunities that enhance our skills and service to our clients.

The Adult, Child, and Family Services Department  (ACFS)  Management Team sets the agenda for professional development within the department based on the department's strategic plan.  We offer trainings across the State, many of which are open to the community, and are coordinated by our Central and Regional Offices.  Some opportunities that we have sponsored in the past include CDOI, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.  We have also partnered with other providers in the community to sponsor conferences for foster and adoptive parents across the State.

Please check the Community Calendar below  to find current and future training opportunities within and outside the Agency.

If you do not work for CHCS but are interested in a CHCS sponsored community training, please call Christine Taylor at 207-947-0366.

CHCS staff can register for internal training by completing the Staff Registration form that is available at their office.
