Job Description

The Multidimensional Treatment (MT) Program is searching for individuals interested in being foster parents to a teen in need.

Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) is an evidenced-based model of foster care designed for youth ages 12-17 who are working to overcome emotional and behavioral issues. The goal of this model is provide a structured and supportive environment to stabilize teens in a family setting and prepare them for reunification with their parents or other permanent caregivers.

MT Foster Parents provide care for just one youth at a time, for usually 6-9 months at a time. Because MT Foster Parents play such an important and active role on the treatment team, they receive excellent compensation ($525 / week) and 24 hour/7 day a week support from the program. With the guidance of the MT Program Supervisor, MT Foster Parents implement the individualized, highly structured program for each youth to help them achieve their goal of returning home.

Must be 21 years of age, eligible to become licensed as a treatment level foster parent in the State of Maine and live within a 60-mile radius of Winthrop, Maine. We will work with you through the licensing process.
