Job Description

The Youth and Family Navigator will provide education, support, and guidance to youth and their families, as well as community resources in an effort to reduce the rate of death by suicide in Penobscot County in partnership with AMHC.

The Navigator will assist in a system-wide community effort to identify high-risk youth, respond to the youth within 48 hours, or less and attend to their immediate needs. The goal is to respond to the youth at-risk by improving coping and community response that will attend to the emotional, behavioral, and physical health needs of the adolescent.

Relevant work experience is defined as work experience relevant to the provision of services to youth and families.

The employee must possess reliable transportation and a valid Maine driver’s license.
