Building on our history of providing integrated community health care services, CHCS opened our first primary care office at our Ellsworth location. Shannon Curtis, FNP-BC, MSN joined our team in September, 2018. Shannon is an experienced primary care provider and she has served Hancock county for more than a decade.
If you’re like a lot of adults, you probably never miss your kids’ medical appointments, but you may not be so vigilant about your own annual doctor visits. Having a relationship with a primary care provider is important no matter how old you might be. Not only can a primary care provider treat your temporary ills and ailments, but they can also help prevent health issues before they become serious health challenges.
An important part of your health care is building a personal relationship with your doctor. A primary care physician is more than just a doctor. Over time, he or she learns the nuances of your medical history, your reaction to medications, your personality, your lifestyle and your treatment preferences. Family medicine provides you with individualized care that sees you as a part of your family and your community .
